Brink of Time

Riikc designed “Brink of Time” as his thesis installation for the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts. This piece appeared in the school’s final exposition in 2016.

Riikc created this piece to fit within the shelving slats of this WWII era archive. The final product plays with perspective, to create a full circle composed of several pieces at staggered distances from the viewers. As a result, when viewed from one single point at the entrance of the installation, viewers can see each wooden piece come together into a completed composition.
